The study develops early estimates for Germany's energy balance and improves forecasting accuracy through deeper sectoral differentiation, particularly in energy-intensive industries. Building on a 2021 pilot study and enhanced models, it provides a more precise analysis and evaluation of industrial energy consumption. The goal is to deliver consistent results at an early stage, even before comprehensive statistical data becomes available.
